I am not your overnight success story

SuccessFOR was officially born at the end of 2021 after my first daughter was born, but looking back, I think it was born way before then. 

My whole life when someone would ask me “what do you want to be when you grow up?” my answer was always “a teacher”.  Truth is, I have always had a passion to serve, to teach, and to coach. In 2014, I accomplished my dream of becoming a teacher, but it was not without hardship.

You see, my whole life, I struggled with panic disorder, anxiety disorder, OCD, depression, and ADHD. In highschool, I struggled. I mean, I would be in the nurse's office 7 out of the 8 classes a day having panic attacks. Needless to say, people wondered how I would ever go to college, hold a job, and of course, teach others…I mean, teaching is kind of a stressful job (IYKYK). Guess who graduated with not only a degree in education, the award of “student teacher of the year”, and a masters in leadership? If you guessed Marra, you would be correct.

I taught U.S. history, economics, and politics from 2014- 2021 where I was known as the teacher who created an environment where all felt safe, all saw growth in learning, and all felt confident in embracing themselves more. I loved teaching. In 2021, my daughter was born and my mental health tanked. PPA and PPD wreaked havoc on my mental health and it quickly became clear that it was time to leave the classroom. I was devastated, You see, I was not the person who WANTED to leave the 9-5 life. It was my dream, but I had to.

I started a business as a virtual assistant to have something of my own. I quickly discovered that through my offers, I could create an experience where all of my clients saw results, they could move throughout my product suite with ease, and I could scale. My agency was born. Would it surprise you if I said I still had the teacher itch? If you read this far, it shouldn’t.

So sure enough, my second branch of business was born, business coaching, mentoring, and consulting.

Now, I help other businesses, both on and offline, refine their offers, expand their product suite, and develop their marketing presence so they can not only continue to grow, but they can maximize their clients results and experience through time. 

I guess you can say I have made a full circle.

I get to still teach. I get to still serve. I get to use my knowledge of learning to build offers. And I get to help others embrace their stories to set them apart.
